This means I've been uniquely trained in looking at the relationships people have with themselves, their bodies, their past, others, and the world.
I specialize in treating trauma, addiction, anxiety/panic, eating disorders, and working with women who are in recovery from addiction or disordered eating and looking to build their relationship with their sexuality and sensuality.
My clients tend to be overthinkers, worried about one thing or many things, and find themselves neglecting themselves in multiple areas of their life. They tend to have unsatisfying relationships, have difficulty managing their emotions or getting in touch with them. Some of my clients get easily overwhelmed, might operate on autopilot more often than they care to admit, are over analyzers, and often find themselves just wanting to be loved and to feel connected with others.
My approach is warm, connective, and curious. I use humor and creativity to guide my work with clients. I would love to help you find the barriers that get in the way of you being your whole, best self. I provide a compassionate space for authentic inner growth.
I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, and experiential therapies. My goal is to help you figure out what works so that you aren't stuck trying to just deep breathe your way through the day and wondering why it's not working. I fully believe that your brain and body are connected and will use creative approaches to help you explore everything that lies beneath the actions you take, the choices you make, and the feelings you have.
Over the past 8 years, I have learned about how our stories shape our experiences. I want to get to know your story. I think dogs are the most pure and unconditional beings, humor is both an excellent form of healing and also a common defense mechanism, coffee is a food group and necessity, and music can be an anti-depressant.
